Notes:

The Augustana Symphonic Band, conducted by Dr. James M. Lambrecht, performed “A Fragile Peace,” original music composed by Dr. Jacob Bancks expressly for the inauguration.

“It was a huge honor to be able to make an artistic contribution to the inauguration along with my colleagues,” Dr. Bancks said.

“It was important to me that the work be closely tied to the occasion, to Augustana, and to Andrea, so I spent some time reading through some of her publications and talking with her about her research,” he added. “While I’d like to think that any topic in any field could inspire a musical work, in this case it was especially easy to write music connected to Andrea’s study of peacemakers around the world.”
